'Walking Dead' Haunted House Heads To Universal

Walking Dead

The dead will walk again, and this year they're headed straight to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

The theme parks announced today that both US locations will be teaming up with AMC and Robert Kirkman to bring "The Walking Dead" experience to their annual Halloween throw down, Halloween Horror Nights. Today the Universal Orlando Facebook page unveiled our first look at what we can expect from the "Walking Dead"-themed haunted house, and it looks freaking awesome.

The Universal Orlando and Hollywood teams have worked in conjunction with many members of the AMC creative team, particularly co-executive producer Greg Nicotero. Expect to see many more familiar images like the one above, as well as mobs of zombies wandering around the theme parks. So if you're going to be attending either Universal resort between late September and the end of October, expect to bump into some familiar undead walkers. Hey, at least you won't need to complete an obstacle course to get out of there alive.

"The Walking Dead" won't be the only major property at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights this year. The two resorts have also teamed up with Konami to bring the "Silent Hill" video game franchise to their yearly horror event, and it's just in time for the release of the new "Silent Hill" movie, "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D," and video game, "Silent Hill: Book of Memories." "The Walking Dead" returns on October 14.
