Comic-Con Today: We Are The Ones Who Knock

Saturday, here at the Con, you’d think it was the Fourth of July. Sub out the fireworks for star-studded guest appearances and hotly anticipated panel reveals, and you have a day that’s more than worth its weight in fiery nerd-patriotism.

For us, we’re kicking the day off with our third and final Comic-Con live show, co-hosted by none other than “Lost” creator and “Prometheus” writer Damon Lindelof. He’ll be on hand as we roll out more of our interviews from the con, including discussions with the casts of “Game of Thrones” and “The Walking Dead” and much more.

Speaking of that zombie series, we’ve got another special treat from the AMC gang today. The whole cast of “Breaking Bad” is stopping by, and I don’t think it’s possible for the MTV News team to be more excited. I’m the one who has the honor of interviewing the White family and friends, and I don’t know that I’ve been more excited about anything in my entire career — save for that time I ran into Joss Whedon in the bathroom yesterday, I suppose.

Panel-wise, this should be a very big day for fans. The Warner Bros. panel will unveil first looks at “The Hobbit,” “Pacific Rim” and “Man of Steel.” The Marvel panel will show you glimpses at “Iron Man 3,” and we have it on very good authority that the mystery movie of 2014 — be it “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Black Panther” or something else — will definitively be revealed.

(And by “good authority,” I mean Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito, who told me as much last night at the “Item 47” screening. Based on our conversation, it very much sounds like “Guardians” is the mystery movie, but I could be reading him wrong.)

So sit back, relax, and keep hitting refresh on MTV Splash Page. We’ll be here all day long giving you all the nerd news that’s fit to print and then some!

Stick with MTV as we bring San Diego Comic-Con to you with wall-to-wall convention coverage from the panels to the streets. Hosts Josh Horowitz and Steven Smith are onboard for live broadcasts on fan-favorite movies, comic creators, TV shows, cosplay, gaming and more!
