Following the unforeseen mega-success of "Marvel's The Avengers," Joss Whedon gave round after round of interviews to talk about his future with the franchise. During one such interview, the filmmaker was asked about which of his many beloved television creations he'd most like to revisit — and his answer was pleasing for Browncoats everywhere.
"You know, I love all my raggedy children," he said. "But if I could be anywhere, I'd be on board Serenity."
Given the show's supremely sad and supremely short run, the minimal box office returns on "Serenity," and current other commitments of the original actors involved, a "Firefly" resurrection doesn't seem too likely at the moment. But here's one way that fans of both "Avengers" and "Firefly" can revisit the greatest space western in the gorram galaxy: by a mash-up of the two!
Check out an awesome "Avengers"/"Firefly" opening credits mash-up past the break!
My only gripe is not giving Nick Fury the "and" credit. Otherwise, this is pretty perfect. Now back to being depressed about the future of "Firefly" and "Serenity," or lack thereof...
