'Amazing Spider-Man' Clip Offers Tips For Car Thieves

"In the future, if you're going to steal cars, don't dress like a car thief." Good words of advice from your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!

A brand new "Amazing Spider-Man" clip has premiered online, showing three and a half minutes worth of footage from the upcoming reboot. The clip centers on the car-jacking scene that's been teased numerous times in trailers and previous promotional material: a blonde-haired thug breaks into a car and finds Spidey in the backseat, lounging nonchalantly in all of his skin-tight red-and-blue suit-wearing glory.

After a few beats of tossing verbal jabs at his prey, Spidey's fight turns physical when the thug breaks out our hero's only weakness: a knife. His weapon of choice proves little trouble for Peter Parker's self-made webshooters, of course, which quickly become the source of endless amusement for Spidey and frustration for the criminal.

But it could have gone a whole lot worse for the bad guy, as things take a dark turn when Spider-Man rushes at the webbed up criminal, checks his wrist, and doesn't find whatever it is he's looking for. Upon the revelation (or lack thereof), a squad of cop cars arrive on the scene, signaling the end of Spidey's crime-fighting fun.

"The Amazing Spider-Man," starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, swings into theaters on July 3.
