By now, we've seen plenty of footage from "The Amazing Spider-Man." We just haven't gotten a good sense of the score.
Thanks to the show Movie Magic, that has now changed. A five minute tease of James Horner's score has been posted to YouTube for our listening pleasure, which you can check out after the jump. There's nothing derivative here from Danny Elfman's score in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" films, and we think that's for the better.
We get a good sense of the highs and lows of "The Amazing Spider-Man" here, including some songs that sound like they would fit well in fighting or romantic scenes. We're really curious about which of these snippets -- if any -- take place during Spider-Man's flying scenes, since those seem like they will be some of the coolest moments in the movie.
Starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, “The Amazing Spider-Man” focuses on Peter Parker’s journey to discover the secret of his parents’ early death. That brings him face-to-face with Dr. Curt Connors, played by Rhys Ifans, who ends up becoming the film’s villain, The Lizard. It’s due in theaters on July 3.
