'Men In Black 3' Poster Promises To Go 'Back In Time'

Summer 2012 is shaping up to be the biggest blockbuster season fans have seen in a long time. Between "The Avengers," "The Dark Knight Rises" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," all of our favorite nerdy characters are returning to the big screen for our viewing pleasure.

Among them are the Men in Black, who return to the big screen after more than a decade in "Men in Black 3." A new poster and some images have hit the web to get us pumped for the movie, out May 25, and they are definitely doing their job.

The poster -- courtesy of Twitter user RIMMK7 -- follows the tried-and-true "Men in Black" one-sheet formula by showcasing leading men Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin wearing suits and their token black shades while sporting stoic expressions on their faces. The tagline reads, "Back in time," which is really all anyone needs to know about the "Men in Black 3" plotline going into the film.

In addition, Empire has three new photos from "Men in Black 3" included in their April issue (out on newsstands February 23). Comic Book Movie got some scans of the images ahead of time, and they actually do look pretty great. The new photos showcase the relationship between Smith's Agent J and Brolin's young Agent K, a relationship that fans have come to know and love between Smith and Jones in the previous two "Men in Black" movies.

So far "Men in Black 3" seems to include everything fans loved about the first two films while giving the film its own unique twist. But only time will tell whether "Men in Black 3" is just homage to a successful franchise or actually makes the series relevant in a new decade. Honestly, I'm just excited to see Brolin show off more of his spot-on Jones impression.
