'Walking Dead' Sneak Peek: An Argument And Two New Faces

Walking Dead

Mid-season finales are tough, and that's doubly true when the show in question throws out such gut-twisting surprises as "The Walking Dead." Big questions were answered – perhaps not in the most pleasing manner – but there's no doubt that fans of the series are eagerly awaiting the season's second-half.

If you just can't wait until February 12, AMC has been kind enough to post a couple sneak peek videos taken from episode 208, "Nebraska." There's no spoilers within, however the second video does introduce two new, mysterious characters.

The first sneak peek features Rick and Shane, doing what they do best: arguing. I suppose when two best friends and co-workers are in love with the same woman, things can get a bit "complicated." This argument doesn't involve Lori, though. Following the absolutely crazy events that marked the mid-season finale, it should come as no surprise that old man Hershel is ready to bid Rick and his entire crew a fond adieu. For Shane's part, he feels as though the group has a right to stay on the farm, Hershel be damned. Rick, always the peacemaker, is hoping to work things out.

More importantly, Shane's clear descent into anxiety/madness is present in his demeanor throughout the clip. If you're a big fan of the source material, as I am, this looks to be going in that direction (I hope).

The second sneak peek video finds Rick and Hershel sharing a drink – presumably more diplomatic appeals from Rick – at a bar. If the location of this bar has you puzzled, just wait until two entirely new characters are introduced.

Who are these two guys, conveniently just far enough away from the camera so as to mask their identity? I have no clue who the guy on the right is, but the guy on the left does look a little familiar. Using the comic books as a reference – something I wish the show's writers would do more often – could this be Allen?

All of your questions will be answered – OK, some of your questions might be answered when "The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on February 12.
