London Riots, 'The Dark Knight Rises' And A 'Doctor Who' Bunny In Today's Twitter Report

Dark Knight RisesWhether they live in the U.K. or the U.S., comics creators in the feed have been expressing collective shock over the course of the last day in response to the London riots that broke out over the weekend. Simon Pegg and Mark Millar both offered their perspectives, and Tony Lee had his travel plans impacted.

Thankfully, Lea Hernandez offered a beacon of light to the day's tweets with some "Doctor Who"-inspired bunny art. Check out the magic down below, along with a brilliant career suggestion for David Schwimmer.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for August 9, 2011.

London pt. 1: @palmiotti HEY LONDON, cool the f--- down. What is wrong with you guys?

-Jimmy Palmiotti, Writer ("Jonah Hex," "Painkiller Jane")

London pt. 2: @mrmarkmillar How it started means nothing to the people cowering in their homes tonight. The army should have been deployed to nip this in bud.

-Mark Millar, Writer ("Kick-Ass," "Wanted")

London pt. 3: @goonguy Anyone else noticing the news is starting to look a lot like the Dawn of the Dead remake intro? (hugs shotgun)

-Eric Powell, Writer/Artist ("Action Comics," "The Goon")

London pt. 4: @simonpegg Just seen on BBC news that David Cameron has "condemned the sickening scenes" Thank goodness, I was concerned which way he'd swing.

-Simon Pegg, Actor ("Star Trek," "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn")

@mrtonylee Annoyed as it means I can't see my Dad en route, or my friends in Brum. F**k you, looters.

-Tony Lee, Writer ("Doctor Who," "The Gloom")

-Lea Hernandez, Writer/Artist ("Rumble Girls," "Killer Princesses")

@ronmarz No interest in looking at sneaky set photos or spy video from "Dark Knight." Rather just see the movie, thanks.

-Ron Marz, Writer ("Green Lantern," "Witchblade")

@jonrosenberg I am pitching "Schwimming" to the networks. It is a half-hour show where David Schwimmer talks and swims w/a different celeb each week

-Jon Rosenberg, Writer/Artist ("Goats," "Scenes From A Multiverse")
