'Captain America' Criticism And OS X Lion Issues In Today's Twitter Report

Captain AmericaAs excited as many Mac users were for the arrival of OS X Lion last week, "Plants vs. Zombies" lovers got a rude awakening if they tried running the game on their new operating system. John Layman, for one, called out with a Darth Vaderian parade of exclamation points when he saw an error message stating that the game is incompatible with Lion.

Reviews for "Captain America: The First Avenger" remain a bit kinder. Skottie Young took issue with one scene, but Dan Slott promptly rose to its defense. Find out whose side you're on, as well as what kind of comic Warren Ellis would like to see, after the jump.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for July 27, 2011.

@themightylayman OS Lion incompatible with Plants Vs. Zombies? DISASTER!!!!!! #fb

-John Layman, Writer ("Chew," "Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness")

"Captain America" pt. 1: @pvponline Saw Cap tonight. One line choked me up. "People forget the first country the nazis invaded was their own." Really loved that flick.

-Scott Kurtz, Writer/Artist ("PvP")

"Captain America" pt. 2: @skottieyoung Loved every minute of Captain America. One tiny mistake. The German Hydra agents painted US city names on bombs in big, block english. Odd.

-Skottie Young, Artist ("New X-Men," "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz")

"Captain America" pt. 3: @DanSlott @skottieyoung Hydra wanted the Americans to know those bombs had their names on 'em. #ProblemSolved

-Dan Slott, Writer ("Amazing Spider-Man," "Avengers: The Initiative")

@Oeming On ny way to another day of shooting the Powers pilot. I'm really liking Chicago !

-Mike Oeming, Writer/Artist ("Powers," "The Mice Templar")

@mrmarkmillar Very interesting call with Matthew Vaughn for the past half hour about the @davegibbons90 project. Exciting... :)

-Mark Millar, Writer ("Kick-Ass," "Wanted")

@jephjacques I guess Mass Effect spoiled me because goddamn does Dragon Age seem bullshit-hard now.

-Jeph Jacques, Writer/Artist ("Questionable Content")

@warrenellis As much as I hate "comics" with animated bits etc, I'd love a digital comic that played ambient/drone loops for atmosphere

-Warren Ellis, Writer ("Planetary," "Transmetropolitan")

@TedNaifeh I want to enter the phrase "that's so Batman" into the vernacular. It means a grand gesture of justice that breaks the rules. With style.

-Ted Naifeh, Writer/Artist ("Polly and the Pirates," "How Loathsome")
