Canada Day, DC Reboot Protests, And Superman In Today's Twitter Report

Oeming SupermanWith the Fourth of July still three days away, Canadians in the feed got a head start on expressing their patriotism this morning. The Twitter Report wishes them all a happy Canada Day and hopes they celebrate safely.

In other lively summer events, some DC Comics readers are planning to protest the company's book reboots in a few weeks at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Jimmy Palmiotti had a suggestion for them, while PJ Holden proposed an alternative strategy for DC. Check out what they said and see an awesome in-progress Superman sketch by Mike Oeming after the jump.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for July 1, 2011.

@jpalmiotti People picketing DC comics in San Diego...Please picket my book, I need some free publicity. Try Trailblazer since its out soon.

@David_Hahn If you're an art director & you instruct a client to draw "less like a comic, more like a graphic novel," you are conveying zero information

@JScottCampbell Day 2 at the Paris Com!c Con'! A morning of more interviews, signing & sketching in the afternoon & then dinner on a boat tonight!!

-J. Scott Campbell, Artist ("Gen¹³," "Danger Girl")

@GailSimone The Secret Six should do a PBS-like pledge drive, where if you donate $25, you get a keychain with Ragdoll's yarbles on it.

-Gail Simone, Writer ("Birds of Prey," "Wonder Woman")
