'Locke & Key' Pilot To Screen At San Diego Comic-Con

Locke & KeyIt could be the understatement of the year to say we were disappointed by the news that "Locke & Key" television series pilot might not make it to the small screen. The IDW Publishing comic is one of our favorites around Splash Page HQ, and everything seemed primed for it to make a successful jump from page to screen.

Alas, it wasn't meant to be (on the FOX network, at least), but now it looks like fans will indeed be able to check out the pilot episode — if they can make it to San Diego for this year's Comic-Con International.

Calling it "the most talked-about pilot not on the Fall schedule," IDW will screen "Locke & Key" on Friday, July 22. The screening will be followed by a Q&A panel with comic creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, as well as pilot writer Josh Friedman, and producers Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci.

Here's all the info that will appear in the Comic-Con schedule:

Of course, this is a must-see event for everyone who was excited about the "Locke & Key" adaptation — especially if it's as good as we've heard. If enough people get talking about it, maybe another network will snatch it up!
