Retro ‘Captain America’ Movie Poster Recreates Hitler-Punching Comic Cover

It’s no secret that “Captain America: The First Avenger” will explore the World War II origin of Marvel’s star-spangled superhero, but a new, rare poster created for the film has taken the homage one step further by recreating one of the character’s most iconic moments.

Created specifically for the “Captain America” cast and crew by artist Paolo Rivera, the new poster features an image of Captain America punching Adolf Hitler — a nod to the famous cover for 1941’s “Captain America Comics” #1.

Sadly, it might prove difficult to get your hands on one of these awesome posters, as Marvel only printed up 100 copies of them. Some of them were given away during this weekend’s Hero Complex Film Festival, but if you weren’t one of the lucky few, your best bet might be to keep an eye on eBay.

“Captain America: The First Avenger” hits theaters July 22.
