'Superman' Reboot Will Cover Man Of Steel's Life 'From Infancy On,' Says Diane Lane

Diane LaneThe plot of the Superman reboot “Man of Steel” is being kept super-secret, but actress Diane Lane, who will play Clark Kent’s mom, recently revealed a little bit more about the much-anticipated film.

Discussing how much of the superhero’s life will be covered in the film, she said it wasn't going to be a movie that only shows him for a short period of time.

Speaking to E! Online, Lane said, “I'm really not allowed to talk much about it, I think, but it does cover the entire range of years, from infancy on."

That makes it sound as if we’re really going to get a broad look at Clark Kent’s life. Superman in diapers, perhaps?

Of course, this could be a way to really show how he developed into the Man of Steel, instead of just starting out that way. Still, the actress couldn’t say much more besides the “entire range of years” comment.

Lane doesn’t even have her own copy of the script, she admitted.

"I read the script under lock and key," revealed the Oscar-winning actress. "I was locked in a room with the script and was only allowed three hours with it. I nailed it into my memory. I'm really excited.”
