“Captain America: The First Avenger” will be released this summer, and some re-shoots are going to be done in Los Angeles this weekend, though it sounds as if something has already started. After initial rumors that re-shoots would be done in the United Kingdom, the new location makes fans speculate that it’s much more likely this will be the place of Stan Lee’s must-have cameo.
SuperHeroHype reported on the L.A. location, but Mr. Lee himself revealed more about his cameo on Twitter.
Yes, Stan Lee loves his cameos, so he can’t say “no” to one in Marvel’s “Captain America.” The comic legend took the speculation to reality when he began tweeting about his job as an actor.
Yesterday he wrote: “Marvel Studios has upgraded my cameo for the Captain America movie! They’ve given me one more word of dialogue than originally planned!”
He went to Twitter several more times, writing: “As you know, I never ever brag, but it’s obvious they must have felt a star such as I deserves a bigger role ... of course, that extra word of dialogue means I have to re-study my role. I’ve only a few hours before my eagerly anticipated performance.” He finished off his tweeting for the day with: “This moment shall live in history! I am ready for my close-up! Excelsior!”
“Captain America: The First Avenger” will be in theatres July 22.
