Oldman spilled a few more beans in another recent chat, speaking on the subject of script security and confirming that he and fellow star Tom Hardy will be sharing some screen time.
“All I can say is it’s a great story [with a] really great script. He’s outdone himself from ’The Dark Knight.’ It’s fantastic,” Oldman said, going on to mention that this marks yet another engagement with Hardy, following their work together on the upcoming films “The Wettest Country” and “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.” He added, “I have quite a bit to do with Tom in this one.”
Production begins on the film in May, with the release currently set for July 20, 2012, and Oldman told Absolute Radio (via ComicBookMovie) that he’ll be picking up his copy of the script “soon.” He also went into a little bit of detail on Nolan’s legendarily tight security.
“To get into the production office you have someone meet and there’s key in various doors that lock. The script you read in the production office and there’s no ending to script,” he said. Even crazier is the script itself, all copies of which have a key chunk missing.
“He tells you the ending so it doesn’t leak and get out and people spoil it on the Internet. It’s very tight security.”
