New 'Captain America: The First Avenger' Preview & Clip

As promised, a preview of "Captain America: The First Avenger" aired last night on Entertainment Tonight, featuring a few new scenes from Marvel's upcoming blockbuster starring Chris Evans.

The good folks at SuperHeroHype have a nice capture of the preview (which you can watch using the player above), but that wasn't all of the new footage the premiered in the last 24 hours. Paramount and Marvel Studios also released a brief clip from the film, too.

While there isn't a lot to see in the six-second clip posted on TwitVid, it is interesting to note that obvious nod to Steve Rogers' shield-wielding future in this short scene. Picking up a trash can lid to defend himself from a bully, the pre-supersoldier Steve foreshadows his most iconic accessory.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" hits theaters July 22. Keep it locked to MTV Splash Page for more "Captain America" movie news as it develops.
