Voting for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards begins today, folks — and if you're a fan of any of last year's comic book movies, there's a lot to like about this year's show!
Last year's MTV Movie Awards played host to a heaping helping of exclusive peeks at some of the year's biggest films, even though there weren't many comic book movies to be found in the year's movie slate. This time around, comic book movies can be found in just about every category in the voting — and the best part is, you can always cast a vote for any people, projects, or moments you want to nominate.
Starting today (March 22) and lasting through April 5, you can head to MovieAwards.MTV.com and vote for the nominees you think should represent each category. If you don't find your pick, you can always write it in.
The final list of nominees will be announced after April 5, and then you'll have from May 3 to June 4 to vote for the winners. (Voting for the "Best Movie" category will remain open throughout the show, which kicks off June 5.)
Among the notable comic book movie nominees are an almost comics-filled "Best Fight" category, as well as quite a few notables in the "Best Villain" and "Best Movie" categories. Remember: 2010 was a year that included "Iron Man 2," "Kick-Ass," "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," "Red," and "The Losers," among other big films hailing from the comics world.
