Tsunami Reactions, The Spider-Man Musical, And Charlie Sheen In Today's Twitter Report

Spider-Man musicalIt's pretty much impossible to lead with any type of humor or sarcasm on a day like today, but everyone impacted by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, as well as the subsequent warnings in Hawaii and on the Pacific Coast in the U.S., are in our thoughts. Brian Michael Bendis has been assuring people he's safe in Hawaii, while Oregon and California residents have been keeping an eye out for what's to come.

In other posting, the week's big stories regarding "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" and Charlie Sheen continued last night. Marc Bernardin tweeted his thoughts about catching the show before Julie Taymor's departure, while law enforcement officials paid a visit to Sheen's home. Find out what that has to do with "Blade" down below.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter Report for March 11, 2011.

@BRIANMBENDIS so thrilled to be in hawaii right now.

-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("Ultimate Spider-Man," "New Avengers")

@GailSimone Just found out that my little Oregon town is specifically mentioned as being in the tsunami zone. Holy crap.

-Gail Simone, Writer ("Wonder Woman," "Birds of Prey")

@David_Hahn Earthquake-proof shelves are why so many Japanese homes and offices have those ugly metal bookshelves instead of wooden ones. No joke.

-David Hahn, Artist ("Marvel Adventures: Fantastic Four," "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane")

@MrJohnnyRyan Are we just going to sit back and let the Earth destroy us and our friends? Let's turn this f---er into a parkinglot! #warpath

-Johnny Ryan, Writer/Artist ("Angry Youth Comix," "Prison Pit")

@edgarwright My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Japan in this terrible time.

-Edgar Wright, Director ("Scott Pilgrim vs. The World")

@BrianLynch Police are raiding Sheen's mansion. I hope it's like that blood club in BLADE, but with tigers.

-Brian Lynch, Writer ("Angel: After the Fall," "Monkey Man Unleashed")

@marcbernardin Bad news: I did not get hit by a Spider-person at the theater. So I'm back to my original money-making scheme: selling you your organs back.

-Marc Bernardin, Writer ("The Highwaymen," "The Authority")

Deep Thought for the Day:

@AXECOP @JhonenV I always thought elizadushku, when said as one word, sounded like the name of a creature from the pits of hell.

-Ethan Nicolle, Writer/Artist ("Axe Cop")
