Oscars 2011 Roundup: Comic Book Movies On The Red Carpet!

MTV News was live on the red carpet at this year’s Oscars, but just in case you missed our streaming broadcast outside the big show, here’s a quick roundup of all the news we gathered from the world of comic book movies:

“X-Men: First Class” actress Jennifer Lawrence looked great on the red carpet, and discussed the good and bad of spending her days in blue body paint for the upcoming film about Marvel’s famous mutants.

Gwyneth Paltrow told us whether she’d met new “Iron Man 3″ director Shane Black yet, and pondered the possibility of Pepper Potts’ return.

“The Dark Knight Rises” director Christopher Nolan remained as secretive as ever regarding the third — and final — installment of his Batman movie franchise.

– Providing an “Avengers” update of sorts, Jeremy Renner told us he’s read the “Avengers” script, and whether he’s seen his Hawkeye costume.

Mark Ruffalo didn’t shy away from our questions about the balance between Hulk and Bruce Banner in “The Avengers,” but he did clam up when we asked whether the green goliath will be a force for good… or something else entirely.

Josh Brolin told MTV News that rumors of the demise of “Men In Black 3″ were greatly exaggerated, and used the word “happy” a dozen times or so while describing the state of the project.
