It's beginning to seem like Christopher Nolan was so happy with the cast of "Inception," he's putting the band back together for his next film, "The Dark Knight Rises." It was reported this weekend that "Inception" actress Marion Cotillard was joining the cast of Nolan's third Batman film, and now a new report indicates that while it's not a done deal, the actress is indeed in talks for a mystery role.
Cotillard's involvement was originally reported by French newspaper Le Figaro, which announced that the casting was not only official but the pregnant actress would join the production this summer after her baby is born. A rep for Cotillard later told The Hollywood Reporter that the actress is "in discussions, but nothing has been confirmed yet."
There's been no official word from Warner Bros. at this point.
While there's no mention of which character Cotillard would play in the film, speculation has pointed to Thalia Al Ghul, the daughter of "Batman Begins" villain Ra's Al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson).
In the world of Batman comics, Thalia has been a recurring love interest for Bruce Wayne, much like Selina Kyle, Anne Hathaway's character in the film. Could a love triangle be brewing in Gotham?
