X-Men Choices, ‘Marvel Vs. Capcom 3,’ And ‘The Social Network’ In Today’s Twitter Report

So whatever the real story is behind that purported “X-Men: First Class” photo that showed up yesterday, whether it’s real or not, it got Twitter talking. Some creators liked it. Other trashed it. And it also led to a provocative revelation from Jeff Parker.

In other posting, Brian Michael Bendis got his hands on a controller to play “Marvel vs. Capcom 3” (assuming he really did mean the new game and not “Clash of Super Heroes” for the Sega Dreamcast), he seems to be a big fan. Check out what he had to say, as well as who’s been hanging out with the “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Cast” and what Edgar Wright thinks about 3-D movies after the jump.

I’m @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter Report for January 19, 2010.

@jeffparker And yet, X-Men First Class pre-haters, I would have made Angel a girl too if they’d have let me get away with it in the books.
-Jeff Parker, Writer (“Agents of Atlas,” “Dark Reign: The Hood”)

@jerwa Whatever the reason for the X-Men image pull, I actually wasn’t disheartened by the picture. The Photoshop was wretched, though. ;)
-Brandon Jerwa, Writer (“Highlander,” “Battlestar Galactica”)

@BRIANMBENDIS Played marvel capcom! It too is awesome fun! I am having a very intense nerdgasm. Glorp!
-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer (“New Avengers,” “Ultimate Spider-Man”)

@simonpegg I really enjoyed hanging out with the Scott Pilgrim kids this weekend. It’s like @edgarwright’s our dad but we have different mums.
-Simon Pegg, Actor (“Star Trek,” “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn”)

@ChrisEliopoulos I know I’m late to the party, but The Social Network was a fine, fine movie. Love Sorkin dialogue. No one speaks that way, but I like it!
-Chris Eliopoulos, Artist/Writer/Letterer (“Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers,” “Misery Loves Sherman”)

@rstevens That dude who killed Tasha Yar is hanging out in the bottom of my coffee cup. Let’s see how your oily ass likes being digested, pal.
-R. Stevens, Writer/Artist (“Diesel Sweeties,” “LOLbots”)

Deep Thought for the Day:

@edgarwright Dear 3D movies, Don’t make the studio logo in 3D the most impressive part of the experience. Yours, The Public (who paid 15 dollars).
-Edgar Wright, Director (“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World”)
