While I’m not sure how many of our regular readers will be running to the store for the Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber comics (or at the very least, admitting that they’re on your pull list), we’re pretty sure there are a few fellow Gleeks out there interested in the new “Fame: The Cast Of Glee – Special Edition” comic.

To that end, Bluewater has provided Splash Page readers with the first, exclusive peek at the cover to the Special Edition “The Cast Of Glee” comic, as well as the text of their upcoming announcement regarding the books. Official press release:

CELEBRITIES GET GRAPHIC (AS IN NOVELS)!

Bluewater Productions unveiled its schedule for the release of special
edition graphic novels from its popular “Fame” biography comic book series
that will be primarily distributed to book stores and Walmart.

Starting in March, graphic novels featuring Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and
the Cast of Glee will be repackaged with additional artwork, story content
and new covers to expand each edition to nearly 40 pages. Retail giant
Walmart has already committed to sell the Bieber title in stores.

“Each of these titles sold out during their initial release, but now we are
nearly doubling the size of the book and giving fans and collectors more of
what they want,” said publisher Darren Davis.

The following are detailed descriptions of the upcoming titles:

FAME: JUSTIN BIEBER Special Edition
Release Date: March 2011 national / late January for Walmart
Writer: Tara Broeckel Ooten
Pencils: Claudio Avella
Like The Beatles, Justin Bieber started life in simple public housing, and
also like The Beatles, he is forced to balance fame with his humble
beginnings as he comes of age with the whole world screaming his name. Fame:
Justin Bieber traces the career of this Youtube sensation from his musical
childhood in Ontario to the stage of his first headlining tour.

FAME: CAST OF GLEE Special Edition
Release Date: April 2011
Writer: CW Cooke and Patrick McCormack

From the sold-out Fame series comes the story all Gleeks were waiting for:
the biography of the cast and creator of Glee. From Ryan Murphy to Lea
Michele and more of the cast, Fame takes a look at how all of these men and
women became part of a global phenomenon. From the hit FOX series; it’s your
turn to be a Gleek. You know you want to.

FAME: TAYLOR SWIFT Special Edition
Release Date: May 2011
Writer: CW Cooke and Patrick McCormack
Pencils: Erick Adrian Marquez
Millions of fans, numerous Grammys, and a load of good press, Taylor Swift¹s
meteoric rise has given her the sweet taste of fame at a very young age. Her
fans love her, radio and television adore her, and young men everywhere wish
they could date her. Join us for a look at her life, from the very beginning
all the way through today.

The “Fame” series, which launched earlier this year as an offshoot to
Bluewater’s successful “Female Force” and “Political Power” biography comics
continues to grow in popularity with each successive issue, and there is
often a flurry of excitement as the next featured subject is announced.

According to Davis the “Fame” title allows Bluewater to delve into the
celebrity culture and understand how a person rises to fame and deals with
the new-found celebrity and continue to produce in the public eye. That
includes actors, sports figures, recording artists and royals; notable
personalities that would be precluded from Bluewater¹s other
politically-oriented biography titles.

Each issue retails for $7.99. Although primarily distributed through
traditional retail outlets, these special editions will also be available
through several online venues including Amazon.com and the Barnes and Noble
and Borders online stores.
