'Buffy' Without Joss Whedon, 'Flash' Movie Ideas, And 'Superman' In Today's Twitter Report

Joss Whedon"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" die-hards have mostly been in revolt for the last day or so on Twitter, and they've been just as vocal from within the comics community. Marc Bernardin and Ron Marz both chimed in on the subject, and Erik Larsen attempted to be the voice of reason.

Elsewhere, Brian Michael Bendis revealed that he's contributing to the next generation of comic book movie critics, thanks to a screening of Richard Donner's "Superman." Check out where the Bendis household stands on that subject, as well as what Mark Millar recommends for DC's Flash movie.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for November 23, 2010.

@BRIANMBENDIS my kid is watching the first superman movie 1978 and laughing her sh-- off at "the bad acting of lois lane"

-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("New Avengers," "Ultimate Spider-Man")

@mrmarkmillar I hope they do Barry Allen for the Flash movie and make him the more serious forensic scientist. A nice balance for Reynolds in JLA movie.

-Mark Millar, Writer ("Wanted," "Kick-Ass")

"Buffy" pt. 1: @marcbernardin Oh, the double edged sword of writing the Buffy reboot. This Whit Anderson will get lots of attention, but will always be a geek pariah.

-Marc Bernardin, Writer ("The Highwaymen," "The Authority")

"Buffy" pt. 2: @OKBJGM if "the avengers" is a huge hit, that the studios will probably still sell the "buffy" reboot as being "from the mind of joss whedon."

-Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Writer ("Annihilation: Super-Skrull," "The Middleman")

"Buffy" pt. 3: @ronmarz Going to bed early. Before my head hits the pillow, I will have 15 ideas better than "Let's remake Buffy."

-Ron Marz, Writer ("Green Lantern," "Witchblade")

"Buffy" pt. 4: @ErikJLarsen @ronmarz sadly--"let's remake Buffy" will put more butts in more seats than most original ideas.

-Erik Larsen, Writer/Artist ("Savage Dragon," "The Amazing Spider-Man")

@BrianLynch Feeling pretttttty good about my Whedon-less DOLLHOUSE reboot.

-Brian Lynch, Writer ("Angel: After the Fall," "Monkey Man Unleashed")

Deep Thought for the Day:

@MKupperman This Thanksgiving, honor the Native Americans who taught us how to eat by wearing a WigWham™ (a wig that plays the hits of Wham).

-Michael Kupperman, Writer/Artist ("Tales Designed to Thrizzle")
