If you're over 15, Brian Michael Bendis doesn't mind you reading his comics, but think twice before ringing his doorbell and asking for candy. Over-aged trick or treaters showed up in the gripe tweets of several creators over the weekend, though, so Bendis wasn't alone with his Sunday night sentiments.
Last night was a rather large event across the industry, in fact. If you haven't been paying attention to the world for the last six months, you may have missed AMC's much-anticipated first episode of "The Walking Dead." Ryan Ottley, Jhnonen Vasquez and Ron Marz didn't miss it, though, and you can find out what they thought, as well as what the show's zombies have in common with the Dallas Cowboys after the jump.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for November 1, 2010.
@BRIANMBENDIS We just roared past 1200 trick or treaterz. Listen guys over 15. I don't mean to judge but c'mon.. Just Go buy some candy
-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("Ultimate Spider-Man," "New Avengers")
@themikenorton You should be allowed to kick people trick or treating if they aren't wearing a costume.
-Mike Norton, Artist ("Blue Beetle," "Gravity")
"The Walking Dead" pt. 1: @neilkleid Nothing's scared me more about THE WALKING DEAD than the talking baby E-Trade commercial #walkingdead
-Neil Kleid, Writer ("Ursa Minors," "Action, Ohio")
"The Walking Dead" pt. 2: @RyanOttley So far Walking Dead is amazing! Perfect mix of @RobertKirkman and Frank Darabont. Love it!
-Ryan Ottley, Artist ("Invincible," "Haunt")
"The Walking Dead" pt. 3: @David_Hahn Thanks, AMC's #TheWalkingDead, for nicely showing that zombies were once human beings who did not want to become zombies. Well done.
-David Hahn, Artist ("Marvel Adventures: Fantastic Four," "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane")
"The Walking Dead" pt. 4: @BrianLynch THE WALKING DEAD was simply awesome. I'm glad Darabont ignored my suggestion to include a fart track.
-Brian Lynch, Writer ("Angel: After the Fall," "Monkey Man Unleashed")
"The Walking Dead" pt. 5: @JhonenV Walking Dead with friends is really all a person can ask for on Halloween or any day, really. Zombie mom was a hideously creepy thing.
-Jhonen Vasquez, Writer/Artist ("Johnny the Homicidal Maniac," "Invader Zim")
Deep Thought for the Day:
@ronmarz What's difference between zombies of #TheWalkingDead and Cowboys fans? Zombies aren't always talking about winning Super Bowl 15 yrs ago.
-Ron Marz, Writer ("Green Lantern," "Witchblade")
