My Chemical Romance Battles Grant Morrison In 'Na Na Na' Video Premiere!

Documentary subject and comic book scribe Grant Morrison can check off another item on his continually impressive list of accomplishments: music video star.

First revealed last month in a brief video teaser, Morrison has made his official debut in the full-length music video for My Chemical Romance's "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)," a science fiction epic featuring laser pistols, bazookas, masked gunmen and references to antimatter, all in an effort to promote the band's upcoming "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" album.

As teased last month, Morrison appears in the video as a grinning, devilish antagonist out to get the members of the Killjoys, colorfully named Party Poison, Jet Star, Fun Ghoul and Kobra Kid. Morrison's villain has several minions at his disposal, most of them wearing haunting masks and all but few meeting an unfortunate demise at the business end of a laser blast.

But it's Morrison and his fans who get the last laugh. At the end of the video — spoiler alert, by the way — Morrison and his cronies get into a standoff with the Killjoys, a confrontation at least four minutes in the making. When the dust settles on their gunfight, the Killjoys have been beaten, scattered on the ground and recoiling in pain. Party Poison (played by Gerard Way) looks up to see Morrison holding a gun in his face; but the villain relents and wisely warns his victim to "keep running." The video ends with the Killjoys defeated and down, but possibly not out.

In other words, if you think this is the last time you're going to see a villainous Morrison in a My Chemical Romance video, something tells me you're sorely mistaken.
