Chilean Miners, Sonic The Hedgehog, And 'Jennifer's Body' In Today's Twitter Report

Sonic the HedgehogThe extraction of the trapped miners in Chile produced plenty of humor to go along with the celebration in the Twitter Report feed. Meanwhile, Mark Millar's just happy they'll be able to read his new book.

Bryan Lee O'Malley was a little less joyful picking apart newly released looks at "Sonic the Hedgehog 4," though Jonathan Hickman found something to be happy about in his "Fantastic Four" sales numbers from Azerbaijan. Check out how well it's doing down below along with a Ron Marz micro-review of "Jennifer's Body."

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter Report for October 13, 2010.

Miners pt. 2: @chris_ryall I heard @MrMarkMillar engineered the Chilean miners' rescue today so they wouldn't miss Superior #1's debut this week.

-Chris Ryall, CCO (IDW)

Miners pt. 3: @BrianLynch If those Chilean miners had ONE OUNCE the tiny-space-fitting abilities of circus clowns, this would all be over in one trip.

-Brian Lynch, Writer ("Angel: After the Fall," "Monkey Man Unleashed")

Miners pt. 4: @mrmarkmillar Congrats to the Chilean Miners released today in time to read Superior #1 by me and Leinil Yu for just $2.99.

-Mark Millar, Writer ("Wanted," "Kick-Ass")

Miners pt. 5: @Alejandrobot Planet-of-the-Apes-style joking and Don't-tell-them-about-XYZ joking aside, let's tell the Chilean miners they were trapped for like 6 days.

-Alejandro Arbona, Editor ("Thor," "The Immortal Iron Fist")

@ronmarz "Jennifer's Body" is the kind of movie that makes you think, "There are starving people in the world and they spent money on THIS shit?!"

-Ron Marz, Writer ("Green Lantern," "Witchblade")

@JHickman Even though they can only get the Russian translation, Fantastic Four is apparently the number one comic in Azerbaijan. #smallvictories

-Jonathan Hickman, Writer ("Fantastic Four," "The Nightly News")

Deep Thought for the Day:

@jonrosenberg I eagerly await the first nerd to correctly calculate how much of a donkey is higgs bosons, I'm sure it is higher than 95% by weight.
