When the Men In Black reunite in 2012, Will Smith's Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K may be joined by a new by a new colleague: Emma Thompson.
Thompson is said to be in negotiations to portray Agent Oh in "Men In Black 3," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Thompson's character will reportedly be a "take-charge MIB operative who is monitoring a prison breakout." However, it's not clear if Thompson's character will appear in the present of if she will be in the 1969 sequences in which Josh Brolin will play a younger version of Jones' Agent K.
In addition to winning an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1992 for "Howard's End," Thompson has appeared in numerous of films including "Sense and Sensibility," "Stranger than Fiction" and "Love Actually." She also has a recurring role in the "Harry Potter" film series.
Back in May, "Flight of The Conchords" star Jemaine Clement signed on to play Yaz, who is reportedly the villain of the film.
Earlier this year, several potential plot details emerged about how and why Smith's Agent K travels to the past to confront Yaz. The script was written by David Koepp, who replaced "Tropic Thunder" screenwriter Etan Cohen. Koepp was an uncredited writer on the original "Men In Black" and also wrote the first "Spider-Man" film. Barry Sonnenfeld is also returning to direct the sequel.
"Men In Black 3" will be released in 3-D on May 25, 2012.
