Free Comics! Get Your Free Comics!

Got your attention? Good. It's time for free comics!

So... I receive a lot of comics in the mail each week. It's one of the perks of the job, but admittedly, it's starting to be an issue around Splash Page HQ. The piles of comics are becoming a little intimidating, and there was a little incident last week in which my office neighbor was buried underneath a fallen stack for a few hours. (Don't worry, she's okay... now.)

So that's why I want to pass along some of my paperback wealth to you, good readers. All you need is a Twitter account and some luck.

Here's what you need to do, and what you can win by doing it:

1. When this post goes out on the official MTV Splash Page Twitter account, retweet the full message to all of your own followers.

2. At 12 PM EST tomorrow (Thursday, August 26), I'll randomly select a winner from everyone who RTed the message. Keep in mind: You must be following @MTVSplashPage to win, as I need to be able to direct-message the winning account.

The winner will receive a stack of (at least) 25 comics, selected randomly from the Splash Page stacks. Whenever possible, I'll include runs of consecutive issues in the same series (if they're available). I make no guarantees about the quality, content, or condition of the comics — only that they'll be fresh from the Splash Page vault and best of all, free.

All of the comics were published in the last few years, so they should provide a nice opportunity to get some cool, recent back issues or check out a series that might not have otherwise been on your radar. In the end, it beats spending an hour sifting through the quarter bins, right?

So, if you want some free comics from great publishers, keep it locked to Splash Page!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The contest is only open to U.S. and Canadian contestants. (But if it goes well, I'm hoping to open up future giveaways to international readers, too!)

Let us know what you think of the contest in the comment section or on Twitter! You can also follow me, Splash Page editor Rick Marshall, on Twitter!
