'Kick-Ass 2' Teased In 'CLiNT' Magazine Trailer

On September 2, with the help of British talents Jonathan Ross and Frankie Boyle, Millar and Titan Magazines will debut “CLiNT,” a new monthly magazine featuring features and interviews on movies, video games and television as well as four serialized comic-strips.

“I want this to be edgy and irreverent, the kind of thing guys will be passing around lunch-halls and common rooms,” said Millar. Exactly what kind of content could get guys and gals to do such a thing? How about the much-anticipated launch to the “Kick-Ass 2" comic?

The sequel to the comic will feature in the first issue of “CLiNT” and give “Kick-Ass” fans something to whet their appetite until “Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall” gets rolling in theaters. So where did this idea for a comic magazine come from?

“I’ve worked on everything from Spider-Man comics to the 'Iron Man' movie for Marvel in New York,” said Millar, “but what really excites me is the gap I see in the UK market at the moment. There are absolutely no comic books aimed at 16-30 year old guys and I think ‘CLiNT’ has potential to make an enormous impact, bringing a new type of magazine to a new generation.”

Not only will Ross and Boyle be involved in the 100-page venture but Millar has recruited some other big-name creators to jump on down the road as well.

“We can’t say who else is involved at this stage. Jonathan, Frankie and I will have our stories serialized over the first six months, but we have the most insane line-up of creators ready to come in and join us. You’d be amazed how many people who work in film and television want to be comic-book writers.”

“It’s very exciting and we think we’re creating something potentially enormous here,” he said, “People are going to love this.”
