Ryan Reynolds was formally presented as Hal Jordan for the "Green Lantern" panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and he's glad that his new costume has sparked debate. Asked which other Green Lanterns would be joining him for the movie, he listed some names we've seen before, but he was particularly excited about the wasp-like planet Apiaton native Bzzd.
"You're gonna see Sinestro; you're gonna see Tomar-Re; you're gonna see Kilowog; you're gonna see Bzzd," Reynolds told MTV News.
His enthusiasm was tempered a some relief, however, when he also revealed that he would not have to address Bzzd by name.
"I'm really glad in this film I don't actually have to say the word 'Bzzd,'" the actor said. "I don't think I could do that with a straight face on camera."
Bzzd is deceased in the current DC Universe (thanks to Guy Gardner) but was recently resurrected as a member of the Black Lantern Corps. Reynolds didn't elaborate on what role the insect-Lantern would play in the story, but given his history in comics, he could be a wild card.
