Today saw the addition of actors Nicholas Hoult (pictured) and Caleb Landry Jones as Beast and Banshee, respectively. Hoult replaces actor Benjamin Walker, who was previously reported to be a lock for the role of the brilliant, acrobatic mutant who eventually grows blue fur as a secondary stage of his mutation. Beast was previously played by Kelsey Grammer in 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand.”
Jones will bring Banshee, a flying mutant who wields his voice like a weapon, to the screen for the very first time.
Hoult previously appeared in “About A Boy” and “Clash of the Titans,” while Jones was seen in “No Country For Old Men.” The pair will join previously announced cast members James MacAvoy (as Charles Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (as Erik Lensherr). Alice Eve is rumored to be in talks for the role of Emma Frost.
