With the first episode of "The Walking Dead" almost finished shooting, several reports have identified additional actors involved in the project.
According to I Am Entertainment Magazine, Robert "IronE" Singleton (pictured) has signed on to portray one of the survivors of the Zombie Apocalypse. Dread Central also indicates that Singleton will portray a new character called T-Dog. Singleton has previously appeared in "The Blind Side" and the upcoming feature “The Hungry Rabbit Jumps” opposite Nicolas Cage and Guy Pearce.
Variety is reporting that Emma Bell ("Frozen") has also joined the cast as a college student among the survivors. Thus far, speculation on her role has centered on her resemblance to Amy, the sister of Laurie Holden's character, Andrea.
The Walking Dead Podcast noted two additional names that were added to the cast: Keith Allen Hayes and Steve Warren. While Warren is listed on "The Walking Dead" IMDB page as a zombie (which he also played in "Zombieland"), there are currently no details on which character Hayes will portray.
"Gears of War" composer Kevin Riepl also made some waves by posting his submission for "The Walking Dead," which can be found on his Facebook page.
Last week, Linds Edwards and Jim Coleman joined the cast that already included Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Michael Rooker and Chandler Riggs.
"The Walking Dead" will debut on AMC this October with a six-episode first season. The pilot episode will be directed by "Walking Dead" executive producer, Frank Darabont ("The Green Mile").
