TWITTER REPORT: Donald Glover For ‘Spider-Man,’ Stan Lee In ‘Eureka’ And Specialized iPad Uses

“Spider-Man” casting may have thus far overlooked “Community” actor Donald Glover, but Twitter has not. In fact, it turns out that Glover now has the voiced support of both Brian Michael Bendis and Alejandro Arbona.

In other tweets, Stan Lee revealed the backstory behind his non-Marvel-movie cameo on “Eureka,” which SyFy watchers will want to take note of. A portion of his explanation is retweeted below along with a “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” trailer reaction from Jonathan Hickman and Andy Diggle on his specialized comic book writer use for his new iPad.

I’m @brianwarmoth, and it’s all documented in the Twitter Report for June 1, 2010.

Donald Glover pt. 1: @BRIANMBENDIS i support this!! RT @chrischuang: Hey @BRIANMBENDIS, @mrdonaldglover wants to be spider-man! #donald4spiderman
-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer (“New Avengers,” “Ultimate Spider-Man”)

Donald Glover pt. 2: @Alejandrobot I’ll vote for #donald4spiderman but only if he’s credited as Donny Glover.
-Alejandro Arbona, Editor (“Thor,” “The Immortal Iron Fist”)

@smilinstanlee You cameo lovers may well rejoice, for I met with the super talented Jamie Paglia, creator/writer of the SciFi Channel’s “Eureka!
-Stan Lee, Writer (“The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Fantastic Four”)

@chris_ryall There’s no escape from comics… Marvel invades my neighborhood Memorial Day parade today.
-Chris Ryall, Publisher (IDW)

@JHickman Scott Pilgrim trailer was fun. But is it wrong that as much as I’m looking forward to it, I’d trade it for a Street Angel movie in a second.
-Jonathan Hickman, Writer/Artist (“Fantastic Four,” “The Nightly News”)

@goonguy If you love comics, do yourself and this industry a favor and buy one new book this weekend that’s not a Marvel/DC superhero book.
-Eric Powell, Writer/Artist (“The Goon,” “Action Comics”)

@FrankTieri Forgot to thank Shrek for defeating the horror that is Sex and the City 2, proving once again that sometimes good does really conquer evil.
-Frank Tieri, Writer (“Wolverine,” “Iron Man”)

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

@andydiggle This is what the iPad was built for: checking lettering proofs!
-Andy Diggle, Writer (“The Losers,” “Hellblazer”)
