TWITTER REPORT: A 'Lost' Finale Meta-Reaction And A Scary Horse Suit

Lost series finaleSince the "Lost" series finale concluded Sunday night, Twitter friendships have been placed in jeopardy, "Battlestar Galactica" comparisons have been made, and occasionally satisfaction was experienced. While Brian Michael Bendis was unfollowing spoiler-posters, Ron Marz decided that he was OK with where the episode left everyone. Then there was Dennis Calero, who reached a common ground between the show's failures and successes.

All in all, it was night of fiery words and critical screams in the Twitter Report feed, but I've summed up the big picture in retweets below as best I could. You can read on through to find out where everyone stands, and if you make it to the end I can promise you a glimpse of the most disturbing horse costume you've ever laid eyes on.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for May 24, 2010.

@BRIANMBENDIS i unfollowed a few good friends over the dickhead spoiler action. not cool.

-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("Ultimate Spider-Man," "New Avengers")

@ErikJLarsen I'm in the WTF camp when it comes to the LOST ending. Nice to see everybody one last time but seriously--that was a mess.

-Erik Larsen, Writer/Artist ("Savage Dragon," "The Amazing Spider-Man")

@ronmarz Interesting LOST reactions. People who were more invested in arcane mythology of the island are pissed off about answers they didn't get.

-Ron Marz, Writer ("Green Lantern," "Witchblade")

@TheBurnham I dug the Lost finale. It didn't explain squat, but I didn't expect it to. It felt right.

-Chris Burnham, Artist ("X-Men: Divided We Stand," "Nixon's Pals")

@DennisCalero #lost was science fiction written by people Who never wrote SF for people who never read SF. Thus I am not disappointed.

-Dennis Calero, Artist ("X-Factor," "Legion of Super-Heroes")

@Reilly_Brown If you liked the way that Lost never answered any questions for 6 years, and nothing was ever specific, you'll LOVE the finale!

-Reilly Brown, Artist ("Cable & Deadpool," "Incredible Hercules")

@marcbernardin man, was that ever better than Battlestar Galactica's finale. BURN!

-Marc Bernardin, Writer ("The Authority," "The Highwaymen")

@DanSlott One of the reasons the BSG series finale was SO bad was because SO much of the show was THE BEST stuff on television! That was a hard fall!

-Dan Slott, Writer ("The Amazing Spider-Man," "Avengers: The Initiative")

@Christosgage Michael Emerson got his LOST job 'cause Ruth & I wrote him such a great role on SVU. often does a part like that come along?

-Christos Gage, Writer ("Union Jack," "Absolution")

@BrianReed As far as I'm concerned, that was a perfect finale. But I have a huge crush on Tina Fey and Julianne Moore both, so what do I know?

-Brian Reed, Writer ("Ms. Marvel," "Secret Invasion: Front Line")

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

Horse pt. 1: @kmellon So, this exists:

-Kevin Mellon, Artist ("Gearhead," "Hack/Slash")

Horse pt. 2: @SteveNiles @kmellon How much is a commission of a dude in a leather horse suit?

-Steve Niles, Writer ("30 Days of Night," "Criminal Macabre")

Horse pt. 3: @kmellon @SteveNiles It depends on the pose.
