TWITTER REPORT: 'Iron Man 2' Reviews, The U.K. Election, And 'The Human Centipede'

Iron Man 2"Iron Man 2" can't hide from the general public — or Twitter — any longer. The reviews continue to trickle in, and director Jon Favreau seems to be happy with the buzz he's getting around the Twittersphere.

Yesterday's election in the U.K. has been popular as well, and though I don't feel qualified to weigh in personally, I can support the Batman fantasy from Warren Ellis' tweets. I can also support Jon Rosenberg's re-tinkered schedule commitment for his webcomic "Goats." He announced earlier this week that he would be re-strategizing, and it looks we can still look forward to a weekly posting regiment in the near future over on Check out what all of these fine gentlemen said below, along with Justin Gray's take on "The Human Centipede" and words I endorse from Tim Seeley.

It's all in the Twitter Report for May 7, 2010.

"Iron Man 2" pt 1: @Jon_Favreau Iron Man 2 is trending. Good sign. Thanks folks.

-Jon Favreau, Director ("Iron Man," "Iron Man 2")

"Iron Man 2" pt 2: @Reilly_Brown I forgot to mention it, but I saw Iron Man 2 the other day and it is awesome.

-Reilly Brown, Artist ("Cable & Deadpool," "Incredible Hercules")

"Iron Man 2" pt 3: @mercuryeric OH. And Don Cheadle? Eleventyhojillion times cooler than Terrence Whatsisname. Film traded WAY the hell up on that score.

-Eric Trautmann, Writer ("JSA vs. Kobra: Engines of Faith," "The Shield")

"Iron Man 2" pt 4: @dylanmccrae Skipped watching Iron Man. Grabbed some chinese and watched Serious Man instead. Funny movie.

-Dylan McCrae, Colorist ("Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour," "Strange Tales")

@warrenellis Prime Minister Batman's electoral batphone is not ringing. Does no-one want to cut a bat-deal to form a government?

-Warren Ellis, Writer ("Transmetropolitan," "Planetary")

@jonrosenberg Just so folks stop asking: when Goats returns it will be on a weekly schedule, probably for the next two years or so until book 5 is done.

-Jon Rosenberg, Writer/Artist ("Goats")

@JVGray The Human Centipede was not as shocking or as imaginative as I'd hoped it would be. There were moments, glimpses, but it needed more salt.

-Justin Gray, Writer ("Jonah Hex," "Power Girl")

@Remender I wish I could show you these New X-Force pages. Jerome Opeña sets the standard. Super next generation scientific goodness.

-Rick Remender, Writer ("Fear Agent," "Punisher")

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

@HackinTimSeeley My 1 wish for the World is not Peace, but instead that people never again use the term "comic booky" to describe when another medium sucks.

-Tim Seeley, Writer/Artist ("Hack/Slash," "WildCats")
