No 'Iron Man 2' Dominatrix Scene For Gwyneth Paltrow, At Least 'Not On Film!'

Early in the development of "Iron Man 2," certain reports suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts would slip into dominatrix gear during a Tony Stark dream sequence. Even though director Jon Favreau recently dispelled the rumors of Paltrow tapping into her inner Whiplash during the movie, he admitted that the production team briefly considered such a scene.

Likewise, Paltrow herself owned up to the fact that a domineering Pepper was certainly in the cards — at least in some form.

"[There was] no dominatrix [scene]," she admitted when asked about the sequence, but also said with a laugh: "Not on film."

Who knows what goes on behind the cameras on the "Iron Man 2" set — frankly, it's probably best if we keep most of those details private — but Paltrow smiled and admitted that the scene "would have been so fun" to play.

A dominatrix outfit isn't the only uniform that Paltrow bypassed for the "Iron Man" sequel. Early rumors that Potts could find herself wearing some spiffy Stark-designed technology were also put to bed by the actress.

"No, that didn't happen either," Paltrow said when asked if she got to wear an Iron Man suit in the movie. "But that could have been interesting."

Of course, Paltrow's character would require a redesigned suit akin to her Rescue armor in the "Invincible Iron Man" comic books — or at the very least, an outfit that's significantly more comfortable than Tony's various suits and the War Machine armor.

"It's a little cumbersome," she pointed out.
