Along with a “Muppet Show” comic, the publisher’s partnership with The Walt Disney Company has also yielded several great, Muppet-themed adaptations of famous literary classics, including Robin Hood, King Arthur, and most recently, Snow White. But they’re not stopping there.
In a recent chat with the good folks at Disney, MTV News learned that the next adaptation planned for the line will be “Muppet Sherlock Holmes,” and along with some details about the project itself, we also managed to get our hands on the first two covers for the series!
According to Disney, “Muppet Sherlock Holmes” will cast Gonzo as Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective, and Fozzie as his partner, Dr. Watson. The two-issue series will feature covers by “Mouse Guard” artist David Petersen (issue #1) and Amy Mebberson (issue #2).

As if that wasn’t enough to get Muppet fans excited about what’s in store for the comics line, Disney also revealed that fan-favorite writer Roger Langridge will be doing a new Halloween-themed series scheduled to hit shelves this fall.
It’s a Muppet world, folks — and we couldn’t be happier.
