Two rumors have reared their head over the past 24 hours, one pertaining to Blunt’s decision to decline a role in “Captain America” and another suggesting that the erstwhile Indiana Jones is saddling up for an upcoming comic book movie.
In both cases, these rumors are fully noted as just that — rumors — but that doesn’t make them any less interesting to consider!
An unidentified source tells Batman On Film that Emily Blunt passed on “Captain America” because she’s hoping to star as Selina Kyle in “Batman 3” — “if Chris Nolan uses the character,” the source notes. Both BOF and the unknown source are quick to classify Blunt’s Catwoman hopes as a rumor, so take the news with a hefty heaping of salt.
Elsewhere, Latino Review states that Harrison Ford could be joining director Jon Favreau’s “Cowboys & Aliens,” based on an anonymous tip indicating that “Ford was about to join a huge comic book movie to be directed by a director coming off a soon to be released huge comic book movie.” Like BOF, Latino Review classifies Ford’s “Cowboys &a Aliens” involvement as a rumor.
Interestingly enough, Favreau himself recently wrote on Twitter: “Some very cool Cowboys & Aliens casting news coming soon.” It certainly appears that Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde are about to get some new “Cowboys & Aliens” colleagues, but whether or not Ford is one of them is entirely unknown at this point.
