New 'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' Image Hits The 'Net — Here's What We Know About It!

Universal Pictures has released an official shot from "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," Edgar Wright's live-action adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's hit comic book series.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

And if you're wondering why you've read the first five volumes and still can't place this scene, you're not alone. [SPOILER ALERT]

Here's the photo's official description:

(Foreground) Scott Pilgrim (MICHAEL CERA) fights two of Gideon's minions as Gideon Graves (JASON SCHWARTZMAN) watches with Ramona Flowers (MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD) in the amazing story of one romantic slacker's quest to power up with love: the action-comedy "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World".

Yup, that's Gideon Graves in the background, as played by Jason Schwartzman, and if previous reports are any indication, this could be the mysterious pyramid set we've heard so much about. That would mean this shot comes from the film's final scenes — a part of the story that hasn't been published yet, and could differ from O'Malley's final volume of the comic.

It's also worth noting that Pilgrim and Graves aren't doing battle in the shot — which becomes especially interesting, given Schwartzman's comments that his final battle is not with Michael Cera's character.
