Neil Gaiman's Birthday, More 'Modern Warfare 2,' And Todd Nauck Art In Today's Twitter Report

Neil GaimanThe Twitter Report joins most of the comics community today in wishing "Sandman" and "Coraline" creator Neil Gaiman a happy birthday today. That wish might not be able to compete with the illustrated sushi card he received today, but he's a favorite around here, and we hope the day is good to him.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" has been a trending Twitter topic for weeks now, but after last night's official launch, more tweeters are transitioning over into actually playing the game instead of just talking about it—and Brian Michael Bendis is among them. Phil Hester, meanwhile, prefers pinball.

Check out what they had to say after the jump along with some great art by Todd Nauck. It's all in the Twitter Report for November 10, 2009.

@neilhimself @lauriepink http://twitpic.com/p02b9 - BIRTHDAY SUSHI! You have come a long way from monkeys, Laurie.

-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("New Avengers," "Ultimate Spider-Man")

@philhester Everyone here loves video games WAY more than I do. Not agin' 'em, but... I'd rather play pinball. A pinball is real. Also, sleep.

-Phil Hester, Writer/Artist ("Irredeemable Ant-Man," "Green Arrow")

@ToddNauck http://twitpic.com/oxywq - Drew this PowerPack commission during the TampaComicCon. This comic was a favorite of mine back in the 80's.

-Todd Nauck, Writer/Artist ("Teen Titans," "Wildguard")

@smilinstanlee Being a writer is fun. Like being a god. You can kill people, bring 'em back to life, make 'em happy, sad, whatever. I'm drunk with power!

-Stan Lee, Writer ("The Amazing Spider-Man," "Ravage 2099")

@GailSimone If you were boxing with Mark Waid and you couldn't punch him in his rage, there would be nowhere you could punch him at all.

-Gail Simone, Writer ("Birds of Prey," "Wonder Woman")

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

@Todd_McFarlane ART LESSON:The best advice I ever got was: "keep drawing". Simple, but I needed to spend more time learning to get better. It's like any job

-Todd McFarlane, Writer/Artist ("Spawn," "The Amazing Spider-Man")
