“Our own Peter Bagge has a development deal with FOX for ’The Bradleys’ and the network has just ordered a pilot,” Fantagraphics’ Eric Reynolds wrote on the publisher’s blog at Fantagraphics.com. “The only details we can reveal just yet are that Bagge has a pilot script deal with FOX for an animated prime time series featuring The Bradleys.”
Reynolds indicated that the treatment would focus on the Bradleys during their early years while “Buddy Bradley was a teen and still lived at home.” Those stories took place prior to Bagge’s transition into publishing his Bradleys stories through “Hate.”
A longtime member of the late ’70s and early ’80s comix movements, Bagge was an early collaborator with R. Crumb and Art Spiegelman, and has seen considerable mainstream successes as well, most recently providing an “Incorrigible Hulk” story for Marvel’s “Strange Tales” series and now nabbing this development deal at FOX.
