‘Zombieland,’ Twins & Tigers Baseball, And A ‘Losers’ Petition: It’s The Twitter Report! [UPDATED]

I don’t have to tell any of you who read the Twitter Report regularly that Andy Diggle and Jock have been two of the busiest tweeters in the worlds of comics and Hollywood over the last few months. Just look at Jock’s tweet that he’s starting yet another movie project while wrapping up “Judge Dredd” script visuals. Diggle, meanwhile, pleaded to his followers yesterday to petition DC for a hardcover edition of “The Losers” before the movie hits next year.

Also yesterday, baseball fans and non-baseball fans in our feed were watching the Twins/Tigers game, Joe Quesada and Frank Tieri among them. Check out their colorful commentary along with Mark Waid’s micro-review of “Zombieland,” Jamie McKelvie’s fan moment with Edgar Wright, and Stan Lee’s new superhero concept.

It’s all in the Twitter Report for October 7, 2009.

@jock4twenty finishing DREDD script visuals today… Starting another new movie project this week too.
-Jock, Artist (“The Losers,” “Green Arrow: Year One”)

@MarkWaid I would have gladly sat through ZOMBIELAND a second time tonight. What a great, great, great zombie movie. “Double Tap.” Heh.
-Mark Waid, Writer/Editor (“Kingdom Come,” “Potter’s Field”)

@andydiggle It seems vol. 1 of THE LOSERS will be out-of-print for most of the upcoming comic cons at which I’ll be plugging THE LOSERS movie. Galling.
-Andy Diggle, Writer (“The Losers,” “Hellblazer”)

@andydiggle To clarify, DC will OF COURSE be re-issuing THE LOSERS trades to tie in with the movie, which is due out in April…
-Andy Diggle

@andydiggle I’m just slightly narked they won’t be out in time for the London MCM Expo, Thought Bubble etc.
-Andy Diggle

@andydiggle Please retweet if you’d like to see THE LOSERS reissued in hardcover. DC is listening! #LosersHC
-Andy Diggle

@JoeQuesada Sorry Tiger fans, as Mets fan I feel your pain . Welcome to the epic collapse club.
-Joe Quesada, Writer/Editor-in-Chief/Artist (“NYX,” “The Ray”)

@FrankTieri Not sure who I want to win this crazy Tigers/ Twins game. Am sure I want whoever does win to be all worn out before they play the Yanks.
-Frank Tieri, Writer (“Wolverine,” “Iron Man”)

@BrianReed Seriously now, did the WWE get the MLB license? How is this a real game? It has to be scripted.
-Brian Reed, Writer (“Ms. Marvel,” “Secret Invasion: Front Line”)

@edgarwright I may show something very odd and Bluetones related with Friday’s double bill. Something I made that was never used and won’t be seen again.
-Edgar Wright, Director (“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World”)

@McKelvie @edgarwright I’d completely forgotten you directed for the Bluetones! Used to go see them all the time in the mid-90s.
-Jamie McKelvie, Artist (“Suburban Glamour,” “Phonogram”)

@smilinstanlee Just had a great idea. Everyone in Hollywood is looking for something new to film. I’ve got it! Have you even seen– an Eskimo superhero!
-Stan Lee, Writer (“The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Ravage 2099″)

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

@jephjacques According to today’s Dinosaur Comics, because I have 9 bird tattoos I am NINE TIMES as into hugs as the average human being! (this is true)
-Jeph Jacques, Writer/Artist (“Questionable Content”)
