Henry Rollins To Voice Robotman In Upcoming ‘Batman: The Brave and The Bold’ Episode?

Henry Rollins has already found success in music, acting and spoken-word performance, and now it looks like he’s adding yet another gig to his resume: cartoon character.

According to Comics Continuum, Rollins will provide the voice of DC character Cliff Steele, better known as Robotman, in an upcoming episode of “Batman: The Brave and the Bold.” While we haven’t heard any details about the plot of the episode, one has to wonder whether the rest of Robotman’s teammates in the Doom Patrol will also be making an appearance—and if so, could the voice casting be any more perfect than Rollins playing the team’s metallic tough guy?

The episode is reportedly airing during Season Two of the series, which has yet to receive a premiere date.

Rollins joins an impressive, quirky cast of voice actors for “Brave and the Bold” thus far, including Neil Patrick Harris, Adam West and Paul Reubens. The addition of Robotman (and possibly the Doom Patrol) to the list of characters making an appearance on the program certainly doesn’t hurt its status as one of the most comics-approved series airing these days, either.

It’s worth noting, however, that this isn’t Rollins’ first gig as a DC character—though it is his most high-profile character to date. He previously voiced the characters of Johnny Rancid in “Teen Titans” and Mad Stan in “Batman Beyond.”

Think Rollins is a perfect fit for Robotman? What other actor/character pairings would you like to see?
