Kevin Smith just completed a 24-hour tweet-a-thon that puts the Twitter commitment of other directors and comics writers to shame. Since yesterday, Smith has been responding to questions about everything from Archie and Veronica to Batman and Robin and Orson Welles. I've pulled out a few highlights below.
Elsewhere, Jock tweeted some kind words about "Judge Dredd" screenwriter Alex Garland, whose script the "Losers" artist is currently developing visuals for. Check out what he had to say below along with Lee Garbett's new Batgirl design and Andy Diggle's possible job in India.
It's all in the Twitter Report for September 8, 2009.
Kevin Smith pt 1: @ThatKevinSmithFrom @mojorojo "Archie chose Veronica. Good call?" Typical: she's from money. He'll just slum it with Betty behind his rich wife's back.
Kevin Smith pt 2: @ThatKevinSmith Via @Hammingitup "Pattinson chose 'Spunk Ransom.' Do U have alterego/name preference?" At hotels, I go by 'The Bear to Rob Pattinson's Cub'.
Kevin Smith pt 3: @ThatKevinSmith Via @JosephPaulillo "Would Orson Welles have done a 24 hour Twitterthon if given the chance?" Welles and I are alike only in the end-weight.
Kevin Smith pt 4: @ThatKevinSmith Via @Gabo_2408 "do you hate tim burton for the Superman thing?" Not at all. I respect the s--- out of Tim, even if I don't dig every flick.
@marcbernardin @ThatKevinSmith you are some kind of Twitter viking, sir. Be strong, for Valhalla is just around the corner.
-Marc Bernardin, Writer ("The Authority, The Highwaymen")

-Jock, Artist ("The Losers," "Green Arrow: Year One")
@LeeGarbett Wanna see my new costume design for Batgirl?...http://twitpic.com/gypxc
-Lee Garbett, Artist ("The Outsiders," "Batman: Last Rites")
@andydiggle Looks like the British Council might be sending me to India to talk about comics writing next year. Watch this space.
-Andy Diggle, Writer ("The Losers," "Hellblazer")
Parting Wisdom for the Day:
@ThatKevinSmith Honestly: very few directors have as instantly-recognizable a style. Burton does. Scorcese. Coens. Raimi. That's a true artist: sig-style.
