'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' Has Finished Principal Photography, Says Bryan Lee O'Malley

Scott PilgrimAfter months of filming and daily updates, "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" has finally finished the game—or, more accurately, it's beaten one level and is moving onto the next.

"Today... 'Scott Pilgrim Vs The World'... WRAPS principal photography," Bryan Lee O'Malley, creator of the "Scott Pilgrim" comic book series, wrote on Twitter this morning. "Wherever you are, give them a round of applause!"

Even if you're not a longtime fan of "Scott Pilgrim" (which you should be, so shame on you if you're not!), you have to admire how inviting the Edgar Wright-directed production has been thanks to the many video blogs featuring Wright, Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and the rest of the film's cast.

We've also gotten plenty of entertaining updates in the form of production stills. Some of these images left quite a bit up to the imagination, while others -- like this shot of The Clash At Demonhead—were much more revealing.

But even if shooting is wrapped, there's plenty more to look forward to on the "Scott Pilgrim" front. For one, there's the recently announced video game on the way, something that a real-life Pilgrim himself would undoubtedly geek out over. Of course, there's also the final book of the O'Malley-penned series to look forward to, which should hit stands around the same time as the game and film's release.

Then there's the film itself. With filming finished, "Scott Pilgrim" moves onto the post-production phase, and the editing process can be just as entertaining as the actual shoot. Based on Wright's previously demonstrated openness with the "Scott Pilgrim" shoot, the editing stage should provide plenty of laughs all the way up to the film's eventual release.
