Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus and ‘Iron Man 2′ Battle It Out In This Week’s Back-Issue Bin!

The week after Comic-Con is always a rough one as we try to get back into the swing of our regular routines and, on the news side, we begin the long process of sorting through all of the interviews and information we accumulated during the big show. After being inundated with news from the comics scene and Hollywood the last 10 days or so, it’s a wonder anything can get readers buzzing — but that’s exactly what quite a few stories were able to do this week.

Here’s how the Top 10 stories looked for the week, and taking a cue from the MTV Movies Blog crew, I’m going to start counting down the ten highest-traffic posts, ending with the most popular story of the week:

10. In this Comic-Con video, “Iron Man 2″ actor Sam Rockwell explained how he “reinvented” Tony Stark’s nemesis, Justin Hammer, for the blockbuster sequel.

9. Don Cheadle told us that the recently revealed War Machine will have a “significant” role in “Iron Man 2.”

8. George Takei as Galactus? Red Skull factoring into a kids-oriented animated series? This “Marvel Super Hero Squad” news had us raising our eyebrows, for sure.

7. Has Marvel found its live-action Black Panther? This “Lost” actor hopes so!

6. I don’t care — I hope “Torchwood” star John Barrowman lands the “Captain America” gig.

5. Want to know what we discovered during our “Iron Man 2″ set visit? Here’s your chance to find out!

4. Don’t worry, Iron Man fans, Jon Favreau says he won’t end “Iron Man 2″ on a cliffhanger.

3. Miley Cyrus auditioning for a Batman role? Rumor alert! Rumor alert!

2. Put “Megan Fox” in a headline, and readers will find you. And in this case, Fathom fans will love the story, and Wonder Woman fans probably, well… won’t.

And for our top story of the week, and a surprise to no one…

1. Our comprehensive report on the “Iron Man 2″ panel at Comic-Con had everyone talking about War Machine, Whiplash, Black Widow and the rest of Tony Stark’s supporting cast. May 7 can’t arrive soon enough!

That’s it for this week, folks! See you on Monday!
