Comic-Con: Stan Lee Promises We'll See A Live-Action 'Dr. Strange' Movie

For obvious reasons, there was a lot of excitement around Splash Page's Comic-Con HQ when legendary comics creator Stan Lee dropped by for a chat.

In town to promote his new digital motion comic "Time Jumper," Lee shared his thoughts on the upcoming slate of Marvel Studios movies -- and the absence of one of his favorites, Sorcerer Supreme Dr. Strange.

"You know there are only so many movies that Marvel can do at one time or one after another, but I will promise you 'Dr. Strange' will be on the list," Lee told MTV News. "They just have to get to it. In fact, every one of the characters -- they're not going to let one go. Why should they?"

As far as which version of the character he'd like to see brought to life, Lee's answer was exactly what you might expect: his own.

"Well, obviously I'd like to see the origin that I had written years ago, the one that I did with Steve Ditko," said Lee. "But Marvel is free to do any version they want. And the nice thing about the movies they do is that they hire the best director, the best screenwriter, they have the best producers."

"So I really don't worry if they make changes," he added. "They're usually for the best."
