Seth Rogen Getting Into ‘Green Hornet’ Shape?

While Seth Rogen and Michel Gondry’s “Green Hornet” movie appears to have suffered a bit of a setback in the last 24 hours with the departure of actor Stephen Chow, one aspect that doesn’t seem to be troubling the project is getting its star into crime-fighter shape.

In a video journal posted to promote the upcoming, geek-friendly Simon Pegg/Nick Frost film “Paul,” Rogen is seen in a form-fitting, motion-capture suit used to create the CGI character he’ll also be voicing in the project. And to be honest, I almost didn’t recognize the slimmed-down “Pineapple Express” star.

With production on “The Green Hornet” expected to kick off at some point soon (given its current release date of July 9, 2010), it’s no surprise that the actor is getting prepped to take on the role of the classic hero — but it looks like Rogen is definitely taking the job of getting into superhero shape seriously.

Check out the video below (Rogen appears around the 1:00 mark):

At this rate, it looks like the Green Hornet might not need Kato after all — but we’re still eager for news about who will fill Chow’s shoes.

What do you think of Rogen’s “Green Hornet” training? Think he’ll be able to pull off the superhero physique?
