With Jay Leno's career as host of "The Tonight Show" officially wrapped up despite a promised television resurrection next fall, all eyes are on his replacement Conan O'Brien, who takes the hosting reigns this evening. For any of you comic book fans looking to check out Conan's prime time string dance, here's some added incentive to tune in long enough for Conan's own "Late Night" replacement, Jimmy Fallon.
According to his Twitter feed, Jon Favreau will be a guest tonight on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," though the "Iron Man 2" director will not be appearing on the show in person -- he'll be broadcasting straight from the set of the superhero sequel.
"I'll be skyping a bit from the set of Iron Man tonite on Jimmy Fallon," Favreau wrote on the social networking site this afternoon.
We've already seen spy photographs and even extensive Twittering from Favreau himself, but the director's "Late Night" appearance will be the first chance for Shellhead fans to catch a Favreau-sanctioned look at on-set footage from the "Iron Man" sequel -- not counting his past Twitter activity, of course.
Whatever the case may be, it's looking like Jimmy Fallon is the talk show host to beat tonight. Conan better have plenty of "Walker, Texas Ranger" clips on queue if he wants to stand a chance against "Iron Man!"
Will you be tuning into Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon's shows tonight?
