Get the claws out and your mutton chops combed, because "Wolverine" mania is about to begin!
"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" premieres this Friday, but you won't have to wait that long to find out what the fans think of the Ol' Canucklehead's new movie. Thanks to a recently concluded contest on the official movie website, Fox will hold a special debut in Tempe, Arizona tonight!
Oh, and you can bet on MTV News being there, too.
In case you're just catching up with the story, fans were asked to compete in a United States-wide contest throughout April to win a screening of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in their hometown. By submitting their zip code through an online form, voters could amass enough support to bring the movie premiere to their home city. After weeks of competition that yielded a Top 10 cities list, it was the residents of Tempe, Arizona, who ultimately swayed Logan and the rest of the mutants to visit their fine city.
In addition to viewing the new film, Arizonians will play host to the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star himself, Hugh Jackman. In a video statement released at the contest's outset, Jackman revealed that he would attend the premiere with a few of his mutant pals from the film. Just who those special guests remains to be seen -- but with a star-studded cast that includes Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Kitsch, any guest is a good guest.
Make sure to drop by MTV.com and Splash Page tomorrow, as we'll have the full report from tonight's Tempe premiere. Count on it, bub!
